As the virus infected Habs took on the much more physical Ducks, they knew they had to rely on speed to get the win on Thursday night. They ultimately relied on Nick Suzuki and Brenden Gallagher to spark the offense as they skated away with a 3-2 shootout victory setting the stage for a key game on Saturday against the Leafs.

It wasn’t pretty but the Habs managed a 5-4 come from behind victory over the Devils that required a shootout to get done. It was the type of game and effort (inconsistent) that perfectly displayed why the Habs are on the outside looking in as of now.

Habs Dominate Panthers for Big Win

The Canadiens kicked off their Super Bowl weekend with a matinee matchup against their division rivals, the Florida Panthers. It was a perfect performance from the Canadiens, as they took a 1-0 lead early in the opening frame, and never looked back en route to a dominating 4-0 victory.
