After an extended break, Laval was back in action over the weekend with a pair of games on the road against the Atlantic Division. Both games were back-and-forth affairs but the Rocket came out victorious in both of them.
Laval was back at home last week for a trio of key divisional games. They didn’t start the greatest but rebounded well with a pair of weekend wins to stay atop the North Division standings.
While Laval kept losing players throughout the week, it didn’t seem to matter much as they picked up a pair of key victories including one over one of the top teams in the AHL to close a back-to-back road set.
Now that the dust has settled on an eventful start to November, let’s take a look back at last month and which Montreal prospects were the top performers.
It was a light week on the schedule for Laval who only played twice, the second game kicking off a four-game road trip. However, they put forth a pair of strong efforts to take both games and move into a share of first place in the division.
Laval returned home last week to kick off a four-game home stand. They played the first three games of that stretch and they were able to pick up a pair of wins with Jacob Fowler putting up strong performances in both those games.
One of Montreal’s defence prospects is up for grabs as the Habs announced on Thursday that they’ve placed William Trudeau on waivers for purpose of reassignment to Laval.
The road wasn’t particularly kind to Laval last week. Despite some promising matchups on paper, they were only able to come away with one win out of their three games with some defensive struggles along the way.
The home portion of the 2025-26 season got underway for Laval last week with a pair of games against the defending Calder Cup champs. The Rocket put forth a pair of strong efforts to take both games from Abbotsford to extend their early winning streak to three games.
