A beaten and banged up Laval team had a tough last few games, only managing one win out of three while losing handily to a pair of division rivals as well.
With Montreal potentially landing Calgary’s first-round pick this year (top-ten protected), they could find themselves with a draft pick that falls just outside the draft lottery. Here are some players to keep an eye on in that range.
As things stand, the Habs don’t have a pick that’s expected to fall at the back of the first round but that could change if they acquire one before the trade deadline or if they wind up with Florida’s pick from the original Sean Monahan trade.

After sending Rafael Harvey-Pinard down to Laval on Friday, the Habs added some reinforcements for their upcoming road trip on the West Coast, announcing the recalls of Owen Beck and Logan Mailloux.
While getting to the victories wasn’t necessarily easy, Laval was able to continue their strong run as of late, picking up three more wins. All three came from Cayden Primeau who is now 7-0 since being sent down.
It wasn’t a great week for the Rocket in terms of how they played their three games. However, they were able to pull off a pair of third-period comebacks to put together a fairly successful week overall.
After basically three weeks at home, Laval was back on the road last week with a pair of stops against a key division rival in Cleveland. They took care of business in the first game but came up just short in the second.
