The career of Patrice Brisebois has been a roller coaster that started with his selection (30th overall 2nd round) by the Montreal Canadiens

The enigmatic and often uninspired play of the Habs was in full display this past week, costing the team a pair of key games, and ultimately the coach’s job.

So the deadline came and went, with nary a move from Montreal.

The Habs had a successful final week before the deadline, thanks to some excellent goaltending.

As we near closer to the deadline, Bob Gainey has already made a couple moves of significance.

This was about as undeserved a win as you can imagine. San Jose threw 48 shots and the kitchen sink at Jaroslav Halak.

The ups and downs continued for the Habs this week as they continue their dogfight for positioning in the tight Eastern Conference while the Bulldogs earned themselves a trio of victories as they continue to work towards top spot in their division.

After going 1-4-1 on the road, perhaps it would be the warm comforts of home that would help lift the team from the mire?

It’s so easy to fall into old habits. As I sat down in front of the TV, armed with my clipboard, 8″ by 12″ letter paper and trusty Habs pen, the first name I wrote down on the page: Kovalev. Oops.
