This week had it all for the Habs, a GM change, a trade, a huge upset win, plus a pair of disappointing losses to the Flyers.
Like last night, the Habs spotted the Flyers an early 3-0 lead and like last night, they weren’t able to come back.
On Friday night, the Habs slept walked through the first 40 minutes before showing some life in the 3rd period.
It didn’t take very long for Pierre Gauthier to make some noise as the new GM of the Habs.
Despite numerous injuries, the Habs managed to pull off a trio of victories this week, moving them to 6th in the Eastern Conference.
On Monday, the Habs announced that GM Bob Gainey is stepping down effective immediately as General Manager of the Montreal Canadiens.
This afternoon’s game vs Boston is one of the rare instances where the Habs actually outscored their opponent and still lost.
With 6 regulars from the Hamilton Bulldogs in the lineup and facing the defending Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins, things looked dim for the Habs.
