The Habs won’t have to worry about an offer sheet coming Nick Suzuki’s way next summer.  Or ever, for that matter.  The Canadiens announced on Tuesday that they’ve signed the centre to an eight-year, $63 million contract extension.

Several players on the Canadiens should be well-positioned to use their playoff performance as a springboard to a strong 2021-22 regular season.

With Monday being the deadline for opening rosters to be submitted, the Habs have registered theirs with the league, consisting of 15 forwards, six defencemen, and two goalies.

Following Tuesday’s loss to Toronto, the Habs have trimmed their training camp roster by four, sending Gabriel Bourque, Gianni Fairbrother, and Rafael Harvey-Pinard to Laval while placing Michael Pezzetta on waivers.
