Both the Habs and Bulldogs continued their winning ways this week as each team only lost one game.
The best way to look at the past week for the Habs is probably this: A win’s a win, no matter how ugly it may have been.
The 2010 World Junior Championships took place from December 26, 2009 to January 5, 2010 in Regina and Saskatoon.
Special teams, they’ve been a topic of discussion and debate all season long, particularly to the effect of, “Why do the Habs have so many more PK’s than PP’s?”
It was a long week for the Habs who won just 1 of 4 contests and were listless for most of it.
On Saturday, the Habs will begin their season longest 7-game road trip with a stop on Long Island.
Faced with 4 games in 6 days, the Habs managed to pull of a split, beating Philadelphia and Ottawa before losing to Pittsburgh and Atlanta while the Bulldogs continue to be in the hunt for the division lead after a pair of wins this week.
The Habs started the week off terribly but finished strong with a convincing win in the Centennial Game on Friday night.
On Tuesday, the Habs continued their roster tinkering sending Kyle Chipchura to the Anaheim Ducks. In return, the Habs receive a conditional 4th round pick in the 2011 Entry Draft.
If the Habs proved one thing this week, it’s that they can be a scrappy bunch and claw their way back into games. Unfortunately, that still only earned them 3 of a possible 6 points.
