The Habs have some notable contributions over the years from international players that aren’t a typical hockey power. Those players were grouped into Team Europe for our poll series and here is who our readers voted for as Montreal’s top line.
With his junior eligibility now complete, Rafael Harvey-Pinard was going to be turning pro next season. The question would be whether or not he’d get an NHL or an AHL deal. It’s the latter as Laval announced Friday that they’ve signed him to a one-year deal.
During a conference call with reporters on Wednesday, GM Marc Bergevin confirmed that the Habs would not be signing any of their remaining CHL prospects that have to be signed by June 1st.
On Tuesday, the NHL confirmed the 24-team Return to Play format which means that while the regular season is now over, Montreal’s 2019-20 campaign will last a little longer.
