January was a rough month in Laval but several players still put forth strong months. In the amateur ranks, several CHL players had strong months and earn high rankings in our January 3 Stars.

The second quarter of the season is where things really started to fall apart for Laval. Despite that, a handful of forwards were still quite productive and as a result, there are some top grades up front.

After a solid start to the season, Laval has started to quickly tumble down the standings. As a result, there aren’t many high marks as we start our second quarter report cards, beginning with the goaltenders and defencemen.

December wasn’t a great month for the Habs or their AHL affiliate but there were some prospects in the junior/college ranks that really stepped up. Here are our 3 Stars for the month.

The 2018 World Juniors took place from December 26th through January 5th. The Habs had a trio of players participating in defenceman Victor Mete plus 2017 draft picks Ryan Poehling and Joni Ikonen. Here is how each player fared.

There are times where several of Montreal’s top prospects are years away from making an impact. That isn’t the case this time around as most of our top-five prospects are right on the cusp of being regular NHL players.
