The injury bug continues to be a significant problem for Laval and the Rocket struggled as a result as they picked up only a shootout win out of their three games while scoring just four goals overall.
November was a strong month for several of Montreal’s unsigned prospects as well as a handful of players in Laval. They get the spotlight in our monthly three stars.
Laval recently passed the one-quarter mark of their season which means it’s time for our first round of report cards. As always, we start with the goalies and defencemen.
After several so-so weeks, Laval was able to pick up two of a possible three wins last week to put themselves back into a playoff spot for the time being though they were hit hard by injuries again.
It has been a tough year for defenceman David Sklenicka who has fallen down the depth chart in Laval. The Habs have decided to set him free and after he cleared unconditional waivers on Saturday, the team announced that he has been released.
It was a tough week on the road for Laval. They only managed a single win in their three games and saw their roster get depleted even further due to injuries and recalls in the process.
Laval had a trio of divisional matchups and while they were in each game, they were only able to come away with three points and lost their leading scorer in the process.
Our second group of prospects in our 2019-20 rankings features a trio of players that were selected back in June including some intriguing long-term projects.
