It was a battle of the backup goalies at home for Montreal tonight, and Peter Budaj outdueled Brian Boucher as the Canadiens managed a 4-1 win.

Montreal’s offence got off to a relatively strong start to the season, averaging just under three goals per game in the first quarter of the year.
