2016 World Championships StatTracker

The 2016 World Hockey Championships took place from May 6th through the 22nd. With the Habs missing the postseason, they were much more represented than usual as nine different players and prospects represented their respective countries. Here is how each of them fared.

Much Ado about Danault

Philip Danault was acquired as the centrepiece of the pre-deadline deal that saw Dale Weise and Tomas Fleischmann move to Chicago. However, despite being a target of GM Marc Bergevin, he could conceivably be on the outside looking in next year.

At long last, the 2015-2016 season is over for the Montreal Canadiens. Despite a tremendous beginning to the year, key injuries and bad luck ultimately doomed a team which many had considered to be legitimate contenders for the Stanley Cup.

HW Recap: IceCaps finish on a winning note
