While Montreal’s trip to Western Canada didn’t start off particularly well, the Habs were able to win their final two games to pick up four of six points.

The Habs went into Vancouver on Saturday hoping to end their Western road trip on a winning note. It took another third period comeback but they were able to do so as they picked up a 3-2 victory.

Tomas Plekanec’s time in Montreal has come to an end again. The team announced on Friday that he is being placed on unconditional waivers for the purposes of terminating his contract.

In a game where the entire team decided that defence was optional and Carey Price continued to struggle, the bright spot continued to be Montreal’s offence. However, it wasn’t enough as Buffalo prevailed 6-5 in overtime on Thursday night.

The Rangers did to the Habs as the Habs did to the Islanders. All seemed under control at the midway point of the game, but some undisciplined play defensively allowed the Rangers to come back as they beat Montreal 5-3.
