While the Sunday of a long weekend typically doesn’t yield much in the way of news surrounding the Habs, there have been a couple of developments today.
The Habs got a head start on their offseason spending earlier this week with the acquisition of goaltender Jake Allen from St. Louis. Having had some time to ponder the move, our writers off up their takes on the trade.
The Habs took care of one of their restricted free agents on Friday as the team announced that they’ve re-signed centre Lukas Vejdemo to a one-year, two-way contract.
When the playoffs ended, GM Marc Bergevin indicated that a capable veteran backup goalie was something he was going to seek out. That search is over as the Habs have acquired Jake Allen from St. Louis.
In advance of his upcoming contract negotiations, Max Domi has decided to switch agents. After being represented by Pat Brisson, he is now repped by Darren Ferris of Quartexx.
