The month of October wasn’t just a good one for the Habs. Their AHL affiliate in St. John’s also had a strong start to their season while several of Montreal’s junior/international prospects had strong efforts as well.
The road wasn’t a friendly place for both the Habs and IceCaps as each team only won one of three games away from home. Fortunately for Montreal, they also picked up a victory at the Bell Centre to end their week on a winning note which may not be good news for Alex Semin and his stay in the doghouse.

Tomas Plekanec’s two year, $12 million extension last week came as a surprise to many. It was a pleasant surprise for our writers who all think it’s a good deal for both Plekanec and the Habs.
