Laval had a trio of divisional matchups and while they were in each game, they were only able to come away with three points and lost their leading scorer in the process.
The Habs had a chance to bank some much-needed points in the standings against a trio of non-playoff teams. However, they failed to take advantage of the weaker schedule as they only managed a single point while ending the week on a low note.
Fresh off a disappointing loss to Ottawa, the Habs were looking to get back in the win column as they hosted the Rangers on Saturday night. They got off to a blistering start before collapsing terribly, blowing a four-goal lead to lose 6-5.

Laval wasn’t able to keep their win streak going as they returned home and wound up winning only one of their three games last week while they were hit hard on the injury front.
While the week ended on a bit of a down (and confusing) note, it was still a strong showing for the Habs as they picked up five of a possible six points.
It was a relatively light week on the schedule for Laval as they had just a pair of road games in Cleveland. However, they were able to take care of both of them, extending their franchise-best winning streak to six games.
The Habs haven’t been known from their offensive production from their back end in recent years but Montreal’s defence picked up seven goals this past week to help the team pick up five of a possible six points.
Several of Montreal’s unsigned prospects had very strong months of October while a handful of Laval players were able to stand out amongst the crowd and are highlighted in our monthly three stars.
