It was a relatively light week on the schedule for Laval as they had just a pair of road games in Cleveland. However, they were able to take care of both of them, extending their franchise-best winning streak to six games.
The Habs haven’t been known from their offensive production from their back end in recent years but Montreal’s defence picked up seven goals this past week to help the team pick up five of a possible six points.
Several of Montreal’s unsigned prospects had very strong months of October while a handful of Laval players were able to stand out amongst the crowd and are highlighted in our monthly three stars.
Despite facing a pair of top teams in the East, Laval had a strong week on home ice as they picked up three wins in as many games.
While it ended on a down note, the Habs still had a successful road trip through the Western Conference after picking up a pair of victories in three games.
With the 2019-20 season now underway, it’s once again time to begin our annual prospect rankings series. As always, we start at the bottom with the prospects rated from 31st to 38th.
Laval’s road trip featured a trio of close games although the Rocket were only able to come away with a victory in one of them.
The Habs started off their week with a disappointing outing against San Jose but rebounded nicely to beat Toronto and split the two home games before embarking on their Western road trip.
It was a decent week at home for Laval as they managed to pick up their first two home victories of the season to pull themselves out of the basement in the North Division.
