The Habs shook things up in Laval on Thursday, acquiring centre Joseph Blandisi and winger Jake Lucchini in exchange for centre Phil Varone and winger Riley Barber.
Despite their public proclamations to the contrary, the Habs head into the trade deadline as a seller as evidenced by the recent Marco Scandella trade. What players are the next likeliest to be on the move?
Marco Scandella’s time with Montreal has come to an end after barely six weeks with the team as the Habs have traded him to St. Louis for a pair of draft picks.
Laval’s road trip wrapped up in a disastrous fashion as they failed to record a single point in three games while Joel Bouchard showed a level of desperation we haven’t seen in his tenure behind the bench.

Laval faced off against a trio of divisional rivals last week. They managed to pick up three points along the way but a tough loss to Toronto knocked them out of a playoff spot.
While Montreal’s postseason prospects are still minimal, they’re not going down without a fight after they picked up three wins in as many games to make up a bit of ground in the standings.
Laval hosted Belleville for a pair of crucial divisional games last week and unfortunately for the Rocket, some reinforcements from the Habs weren’t enough to even manage a split.
