The Habs continued to add to their blueline depth on Saturday, as the team has come to terms with free agent Alexandre Picard on a 1 year, two-way contract.
Friday has once again turned out to be a busy day of small moves for the Habs. This afternoon, it was confirmed that Alex Henry signed a 2 year, two way contract to return as captain of Hamilton Bulldogs, as HW reported on Wednesday night.
Why hasn’t he signed yet? What is he waiting for? Is he holding out for a trade, does he even want to be a Hab?
The Hamilton Bulldogs’ coaching staff underwent some major changes on Tuesday as it was announced that assistant coaches Martin Raymond and Daniel Lacroix were leaving the team to join ex-Bulldog coach Guy Boucher on the Tampa Bay staff.
Friday turned out to be somewhat of a busy day for the Habs. First off, Cedrick Desjardins and Ryan Russell inked 1 year, $550,000 two-way contracts with the club.
On Monday, the Habs announced the resignation of longtime president Pierre Boivin, effective at the end of next June.
As the Habs’ offseason tinkering continues, it’s time to take a look at where they stand. With the recent re-signing of Maxim Lapierre, there remains just one restricted free agent to re-sign, the newly crowned #1 goalie, Carey Price.
The 2010 NHL Entry Draft ended on Saturday, with the Habs making a total of 4 selections. Montreal lost their 2nd round selection (57th overall) as a result of trading up with the Coyotes on Friday night in order to select D Jarred Tinordi with the 22nd
