HabsWorld.net --

The Habs put the trade speculation emanating from Thursday’s 2-1 loss to
Boston early, announcing that they have acquired Rene Bourque, prospect Patrick
Holland, and a 2013 2nd from pick from Calgary in exchange for Mike Cammalleri,
Karri Ramo, and a 2012 5th round pick.  Bourque, the key piece in the trade
coming back Montreal’s way, is currently serving a 5 game suspension.

Montreal’s newest winger is coming off back-to-back 27 goal, 50+ point
seasons.  Although the 6’2, 213 lb winger has just 16 points this year, he
once again is playing at a 27 goal pace.  He is in the middle of a six
year, $20 million deal ($3.33 M cap hit) that expires in 2015-16.  Holland was
a 7th round pick of the Flames in 2010, 193rd overall.  He is in his 3rd
season with the WHL’s Tri City Americans and sits 9th in league scoring with 56
points in 39 games.  He has until June 1st to sign.

Cammalleri was in the midst of his worst of three seasons with the Habs,
collecting 22 points (9-13) in 37 games.  He has a cap hit of $6 million
through the 2013-14 season.  Ramo, who was believed to have basically no
value after declaring he wasn’t intending to come back to North America anytime
soon, is in his 3rd season with Avangard Omsk of the KHL.
