Who Are Your 3 Stars for December?
December was a tough month for the Montreal Canadiens, as they played 10 out of 15 games on the road, including 7 consecutive games away from the Bell Centre. Perhaps as a result, the Canadiens turned out a 6-8-1 record, good for 13 points, as they finally conceded their divisional lead to the Boston Bruins. December was also a busy month for GM Pierre Gauthier; James Wisniewski was acquired from the New York Islanders to bolster Montreal's blue-line, and Maxim Lapierre was shipped to Anaheim after requesting a trade. Other highlights included P.K. Subban being made a healthy scratch on multiple occasions, Dustin Boyd clearing waivers and going down to the AHL and Scott Gomez returning from a lower body injury. Finally, after tearing up the AHL, Max Pacioretty was called up from Hamilton and instantly injected some physicality and scoring ability to Montreal's top-6.
Although the many storylines may have garnered the most attention during the month of December, we here at Habsworld want to know what personal performances stood out for you (in a good way). In a month where Montreal domination and good luck were in short-supply, your votes should paint an interesting picture. Select the players most deserving of star-honours from the drop-down menus and click <Submit Your Vote>. Duplicate answers will be discarded and multiple entries will not be accepted. Only current players that participated in at least 5 games with Montreal are eligible for votes. Voting ends on January 5th, 2011 at 23:59 EST. The results will be posted on January 7th, 2011.
