HabsWorld.net --

With Laval’s training camp on the horizon, a long list of cuts was expected.  Those cuts came on Friday as the Habs trimmed their camp roster by 23 players.  Those heading to minor league camp are as follows:

F Peter Abbandonato
F Anthony Beauregard
F Gabriel Bourque
D Santino Centorame
F Lucas Condotta
D Tory Dello
G Philippe Desrosiers
F Pierrick Dube
D Gianni Fairbrother
F Ryan Francis
D Olivier Galipeau
D Alex Green
F Cameron Hillis
F Danick Martel
F Jan Mysak
D/F John Parker-Jones
F Emile Poirier
F Brennan Saulnier
F Brett Stapley
F Joel Teasdale
D Miguel Tourigny
D William Trudeau
G Joe Vrbetic

None of these cuts come as a surprise as none of them were expected to contend for a roster spot with the Canadiens.  It’s worth noting that Trudeau and Tourigny could still return for one more year in the QMJHL but it appears that they’ll get a chance to crack the roster for the Rocket first.

None of these players have to pass through waivers first so they’ll all be available in Laval when camp gets underway on Monday.  In the meantime, there are still 45 players in camp with the Canadiens which means there is still plenty of roster news to come over the next couple of weeks.
