It was a light week on the schedule for Laval who only played twice, the second game kicking off a four-game road trip. However, they put forth a pair of strong efforts to take both games and move into a share of first place in the division.
Laval returned home last week to kick off a four-game home stand. They played the first three games of that stretch and they were able to pick up a pair of wins with Jacob Fowler putting up strong performances in both those games.
One of Montreal’s defence prospects is up for grabs as the Habs announced on Thursday that they’ve placed William Trudeau on waivers for purpose of reassignment to Laval.
The road wasn’t particularly kind to Laval last week. Despite some promising matchups on paper, they were only able to come away with one win out of their three games with some defensive struggles along the way.
The home portion of the 2025-26 season got underway for Laval last week with a pair of games against the defending Calder Cup champs. The Rocket put forth a pair of strong efforts to take both games from Abbotsford to extend their early winning streak to three games.
Laval kicked off the 2025-26 campaign on the road with a stop in Manitoba to take on the Moose. They didn’t play well in the opener but bounced back in the rematch to split the week.
While preseason results don’t matter, the Habs did pretty well over the past few weeks. Here are some observations on some prospects as well as a change in their defensive structure.
