Marc Bergevin’s decision to sign P.K. Subban to a bridge deal back in January of 2013 was met with a lot of criticism.
Regardless of what kind of contract P.K. Subban signs in the near future, it’s a given that he’ll suit up as Montreal’s top defenceman this year.
Strengths: He can play both wings and is a reliable player in all three zones. His offensive game has improved in recent years.
Strengths: He can be used as a faceoff specialist as his percentage at the dot is among the NHL’s best yearly while he is a reliable defensive forward.
Strengths: He’s a smooth skater with strong passing abilities. He can log big minutes and knows when to pinch offensively.
Strengths: He’s a well-rounded offensive player that can produce well at both even strength and powerplay situations. Playmaking is a particularly strong attribute.
The 2014 World Hockey Championships are being held in Belarus this year.
