The Montreal Canadiens are home to Phoenix tonight at the Bell Centre. While Phoenix has risen in the overall standings to 16th place, the Habs have fallen to 15th position.
It certainly wasn’t a week to remember for the Habs, waiting 6 days only to come out flat in an ugly loss to the Ducks.
It’s hard to put forth an enthusiastic effort when the team you’re covering fails to do so on the ice.
From time to time everyone can do better. Perhaps the Canadiens organization could have done better with Ron Hainsey.
This past week, the Montreal Canadiens found their way out of a 4-game slump, defeating the LA Kings 3-2 on Saturday night.
Personally, I’ve had enough. When Mike Ribeiro comes out and tells the Journal de Montreal that there wouldn’t be as many problems in Montreal if Ryder finished more of Ribeiro’s good passes, well, that’s classless,
I’m pleased to see that Ribeiro and company managed to actually have a good game tonight.
The wounded Canadiens are home to Buffalo tonight as they try to snap out of a 3 game losing streak. Welcome news from the injury front came today as Sheldon Souray should return to the lineup.
Other than the Senators, I’m not sure there’s another team in the league that’s capable of going into a game expecting to lose, and not get exactly what they were expecting.
