The third quarter of the season for the Habs featured more downs than ups as many players struggled. Accordingly, the grades aren’t as high as they’ve been the rest of the year. Our report card starts with the goalies and defencemen.
The offence is still a work in progress but it didn’t stop the Habs from sweeping all four of their games this past week. The IceCaps weren’t exactly lighting up the scoreboard either but they managed to win a pair of games in their latest 3-in-3 stretch as well.

The Habs and Avalanche hooked up on a trade on Wednesday but not the deal many were hoping for as Montreal dealt Sven Andrighetto to Colorado for winger Andreas Martinsen.
After moving David Desharnais last night, the Habs moved quickly Wednesday morning to replace the depth down the middle, acquiring Steve Ott from Detroit in exchange for a 2018 6th round pick.
