On Friday, it was announced that defenceman Mark Streit had cleared waivers after the Canadiens had placed him on the wire on Thursday. He has been sent to Laval of the AHL.
Despite many shots and chances, the Habs continued to show a lack of offensive flair and lost their third consecutive contest to the Chicago Blackhawks by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday night.
