With the games all but meaningless now, the Habs have started to rack up the points, collecting a pair of wins and extra time losses over the week. The same can’t be said for Laval as their depleted roster picked up a win but dropped their two other contests in regulation.

Habs Lose It Late Against Bruins

The heavily short-handed Habs played a perfect and boring road game for all of 55 minutes on Saturday. With five minutes to play, they gave the Bruins an inch too much and seven minutes later, Boston fans were elated with their 2-1 overtime victory over the rival Habs.

Habs Trade Tomas Plekanec to Toronto

Tomas Plekanec’s time with the Habs has come to an end. Montreal shipped him along with minor league winger Kyle Baun to Toronto on Sunday morning in exchange for Toronto’s second-round pick in 2018, prospect blueliner Rinav Valiev, and winger Kerby Rychel.
