It was a memorable week for many Habs although certainly not for their on-ice success as they lost all three games. However, several players made their NHL debuts and, for the most part, they did pretty well under the circumstances.
After being hit with a significant outbreak of positive COVID-19 tests, the Canadiens announced both the Habs and Rocket will pause operations through January 6th in an effort to try to stop the spread.
What’s left of the Habs looked to start 2022 on a winning note as they travelled to Florida for a Saturday matinee against the Panthers. They had a good first period but struggled after that, eventually falling 5-2.
When the Habs fired Marc Bergevin and brought Jeff Gorton in, Trevor Timmins was also among those leaving.
