Laval put up a good fight against Springfield in the Eastern Conference Finals but ultimately came up just short of moving on as they fell in seven games to the Thunderbirds. Here’s a look back at the series.

Wednesday night was the seventh and final game of the Eastern Conference Finals. Laval didn’t come out with much energy in this one, however, as the fatigue and injuries got to them as Springfield was able to skate away with the 4-0 victory.
It turns out Otto Leskinen’s time with the Canadiens isn’t over just yet as the Habs announced on Tuesday that they’ve signed the defenceman to a one-year, two-way contract.
It was a must-win game for Laval on Monday as they looked to stay alive against the Thunderbirds and force a Game 7. They got some key contributions from their veterans and got the job done as they skated away with a 5-1 victory.
It hasn’t been very often that Montreal has had several prospects playing into May but that is the case this year, with several putting up strong performances to earn a nod in our three stars.
Less than 24 hours after a thrilling overtime victory on Friday, Laval was back at it on Saturday for Game 5 against Springfield. They got off to a good start but couldn’t hold on from there, eventually falling 3-2 in overtime.
After a tough outing on Wednesday, Laval looked to even up their series in Game 4 as they hosted Springfield on Friday night. It took a bit of extra time but they did just that as the Rocket skated away with a 3-2 overtime victory.
