The Habs lost Tuesday’s game against Winnipeg along with defenceman Kaiden Guhle who exited with a lower-body injury. He underwent successful surgery to repair a lacerated quadriceps muscle and is out indefinitely.
While getting to the victories wasn’t necessarily easy, Laval was able to continue their strong run as of late, picking up three more wins. All three came from Cayden Primeau who is now 7-0 since being sent down.
This past week wasn’t a particularly strong one for the Habs as some of their early-season defensive struggles returned. Nonetheless, they still managed to pick up three points along the way to stay within striking distance of a Wild Card position in the East.

It wasn’t a great week for the Rocket in terms of how they played their three games. However, they were able to pull off a pair of third-period comebacks to put together a fairly successful week overall.
While last week saw the Habs lose a tough one after blowing a big early lead, they also picked up three victories to help keep pace in their surprisingly strong run to get back into the playoff discussion.

After a comeback win in Utah on Tuesday, the Habs wrapped up their road trip on Thursday in Dallas. The game was tied for most of regulation but Alex Newhook tipped home the eventual winner midway through the third as Montreal collected the 3-1 win.
After being involved in a traffic accident as a pedestrian on Monday in Utah, the Habs announced on Tuesday that winger Emil Heineman will miss the next three to four weeks with an upper-body injury.
