On Thursday, we saw the Habs make their first deal of the season, dealing away Ryan O’Byrne to Colorado for prospect forward Michael Bournival.
A storied rivalry with 1st place on the line. It had all the makings of a terrific regular season contest and both the Habs and Bruins didn’t disappoint.
A very consistent player who plays with a high energy level. Gritty for his size.
On Thursday, the Habs completed their first trade of the season, trading d-man Ryan O’Byrne to Colorado in exchange for 2010 3rd round pick Michael Bournival.
On Monday, the Habs placed F Dustin Boyd on waivers. The struggling forward has just 1 goal in 9 games this season while his -6 plus/minus rating is worst on the team.
The Habs stumbled this week, winning only 1 of 3 games, while the Bulldogs kept on rolling, winning their 3 contests.
Though the Habs were in Columbus on Tuesday night, they certainly weren’t in spirit as they dropped a 3-0 decision to the host Blue Jackets.
The Habs weren’t able to sweep the week, but managed to take 3 of 4 games to finish the month tied for 1st in the East while the Bulldogs got back on track winning both their contests, despite several injuries.
The Habs’ winning streak came to an end on Saturday night as they fell to the 15th ranked team in the East, the Florida Panthers, by a count of 3-1.
