The Habs have made a swap to shake things up on the back end. The team announced that they’ve traded Justin Barron to Nashville in exchange for Alexandre Carrier.
After losing in Winnipeg on Saturday, the Habs looked to get back in the win column on Tuesday as they hosted Buffalo. They took advantage of a big night from Patrik Laine on the power play and picked up the 6-1 win.
Laval’s strong start to the season wasn’t believed to be sustainable and this past week showed that they’re starting to struggle, particularly their top forwards who were held off the scoresheet. However, an unlikely breakout game from the fourth line helped end the week on a winning note.
This past week was a mixed bag for the Habs. They eked out a win to start, got demolished in the second game, and followed that up with more of a respectable losing effort against one of the top teams. Clearly, consistency is still an issue for them.
November was a rough month for the Habs and unfortunately, it wasn’t a great month for a lot of their prospects. However, there were a handful that were able to turn in solid showings and earn a spot in our monthly three stars.
The Habs looked to end their five-game home stand on a high note as they hosted Pittsburgh on Thursday. However, a gruesome third period made a close game turn ugly as the Penguins picked up the 9-2 win.
November wasn’t a great month for the Habs as they could only muster up four victories out of their 12 games. Despite that, some individual players still had strong months, earning enough votes from our readers to be among the three stars.
After a rough week to end November, Laval got off to a much better start to kick off the month of December as they picked up five of a possible six points against division rivals although they lost a key player along the way.
The Habs kicked off a long home stand this past week. Bolstered by the return of their key offseason acquisition, they were able to pick up two of three victories, making it one of their better performances over the first two months of the season.
