Habs sign Mark Barberio

The Habs have added another blueliner to the fold, inking Mark Barberio to a one year, two-way contract. He will reportedly earn $600,000 in the NHL and $325,000 of guaranteed money.

Habs to buy out P-A Parenteau

On Sunday, the Habs placed right winger P-A Parenteau on unconditional waivers for the purposes of buying out the final year of his contract. Teams will have until noon EST on Monday to claim him which isn’t likely to happen.

Day 2 of the 2015 Draft

The second day of the draft was a quiet one for the Habs as they had just four selections, the earliest of which came at the bad of the 3rd round. Montreal used their picks to shore up their forward depth while adding an extra blueliner to the fold.
