The Habs are now on the Eastern portion of their road trip and were in Tampa Bay to take on the Lightning on Saturday night. They got off to a flying start but weren’t able to hold the lead as they dropped this one 5-4.
Our third group of prospects in our 2019-20 rankings features a pair of players who have been in the organization for a while now and are running out of time to make their mark.
The 2020 World Junior Hockey Championships will run from December 26th to January 5th and while the Habs won’t have quite as many prospects participating as they did last year, they will still be well-represented in the tournament. We’ll keep track of their stats here.
With Laval getting closer to reaching the midway point of the season, it’s time to wrap up our first quarter grades with a look at the forwards.
The injury situation for Laval just continues to get worse and as a result, their tumble down the standings continues as they managed just one point in a pair of games last week.
Montreal’s trip to Western Canada proved to be a fruitful one as the Habs picked up a pair of victories out of their three games to continue to hang around the postseason bubble.
The injury bug continues to be a significant problem for Laval and the Rocket struggled as a result as they picked up only a shootout win out of their three games while scoring just four goals overall.
While it was a successful week in the standings for the Habs with a pair of victories in three games, it still ended on a disappointing note following another loss to Detroit as the offence continues to sputter.
November was a strong month for several of Montreal’s unsigned prospects as well as a handful of players in Laval. They get the spotlight in our monthly three stars.
