HabsWorld.net --

With the NHL draft around the corner, the HabsWorld podcast gang was back to discuss the draft and talk about Montreal’s prospects and other possible offseason moves. Host Norm Szcyrek was joined by cohosts Paul MacLeod, Sean Cayouette, Jonathan Rebelo, and guest Kevin Leveille to talk about our beloved Montreal Canadiens, several NHL topics, and share a lot of laughs. This podcast was recorded on the evening of June 19, 2024.

We have a full roster of topics, including:

– Introductions and Habs trivia

– Initial thoughts about the Habs’ possible draft selections at #5

– Interview with draft expert Kevin Leveille with these topics: general impressions of the 2024 draft, who would the Habs pick at #5 if Demidov and Lindstrom are gone, who should Montreal target with the 26th pick if they don’t trade it, is there a scenario where Montreal would trade down, what would you predict the Habs pay to move up to the #2 pick, do you think Montreal will draft for need in the first round, or go for the best player available, do you think Montreal will trade one of their first-round picks to obtain Martin Necas or another NHL player, could the Habs draft Saku Koivu’s son Aatos, and thoughts about several Habs drafted players under the Hughes/Gorton regime – Filip Mesar, Owen Beck, Oliver Kapanen, Lane Hutson, Jacob Fowler, Florian Xhekaj and David Reinbacher

– HabsWorld podcasters discussed Kevin’s interview answers
