Jan Bulis will be lost to the Canadiens for the next 4 weeks due to a knee injury suffered Monday night against the New York Rangers in Montreal’s 4-1 victory. Bulis injured the knee when he threw a check and twisted his knee on the play.

Before missing last night’s game against the Senators Bulis had been the lone Canadiens player to not miss a game this season , Bulis has 13 goals and 14 assists for 27 points in 63 games to date.

In other news Canadiens goalie Mathieu Garon did not practice with the team today because of the flu , but he will accompany the team on their trip to Boston where they will face the Bruins Thursday night.

Andrei Markov was also absent from practice today, but might be available for tomorrow’s game. Markov had been in Russia mourning his father’s death. Another Canadiens defender, Sheldon Souray, has told Habs GM Bob Gainey that he is way ahead of schedule in his rehab, and should be back in the lineup sooner then expected.
