HW Updates by Dan Linn

2003-2004 Season Review – Damphousse was brought in over the
summer, to give Eric Fichaud some help, as he has several years of experience
and was a former number one pick of the New Jersey Devils. While the season was
a bit of an up and down one, Damphousse was able to put together a solid season,
and with an injury to Fichaud he became the teams goto goalie.

Canadiens Mid-season Top 20Francois Beauchemin
and J-F Damphousse had to be removed from the prospect page, as
they have played too many AHL games, but can not be moved to graduated as they
have not gotten the call to the NHL.

October 2003 – A free agent pickup this summer, Damphousse
currently plays for the Hamilton Bulldogs. The former 1st round pick
of the New Jersey Devils has appeared in 4 games so far this season. In those
starts he has looked good at times, and not so good at others. But the Bulldogs
are a team loaded with young inexperienced players that have a new coach, so
everyone is just learning what they are expected to do on the ice.
