For many, if they were to write a script for the life they aspire to live, the life of Ken Dryden would do just fine.

Legendary Montreal Canadiens goaltender Ken Dryden has passed away at the age of 78 after a battle with cancer.
The Canadiens have shown plenty of patience when it comes to goaltender Cayden Primeau. However, they need an NHL-calibre backup and with Primeau showing he’s probably not going to be one, the time has come to try someone else.
The Canadiens announced on Tuesday that they have acquired centre Alex Newhook from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for picks 31 and 37 in this week’s draft plus prospect Gianni Fairbrother.
With David Savard and Mike Matheson both out, the Habs have recalled defenceman Justin Barron from Laval.
Josh Anderson was one of Montreal’s biggest additions over the offseason. They paid a big price to get him, both in terms of acquisition cost and contract, one that may have some consequences down the road.
If the Canadiens opt to address their scoring woes with their first-round pick next month, Mavrik Bourque may be available and may be a viable option at pick number 16.
In the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, the Canadiens opted to strengthen and replenish their prospects on the left side of their defence corps. If the Habs opt to add right-handed defencemen in the 2020 draft, Braden Schneider would be a solid option and may be available at pick number 16.
Geoff Molson has been adamant that change isn’t needed in Montreal’s front office. However, changes, or even some form of additions, need to be made.
Max Domi is getting most of the attention among Montreal’s pending restricted free agents but Victor Mete is another notable one. However, if it wasn’t for mismanagement in his development, he wouldn’t be needing a new contract just yet.
