- Rene Bourque is off to his longest goal drought to start a season since 2007-08. However, he has a while to go to beat his slump that year where he needed 12 games to record his first goal.
In a month where Montreal posted a modest 5-4-2 record, the Canadiens kept their meager playoff hopes alive. January's Canadiens exemplified this season's lack of consistency, as their Jekyll and Hyde tendencies had them score 7 goals on two occasions, while being shut out in two other games. As evidenced by the subtraction of Mike Cammalleri and addition of Rene Bourque, the Canadiens are striving for a new look, and time will only tell if it yields more successful results.
Nevertheless, this team in transition has had a few bright spots, and Habsworld would like to know which Canadiens brought a smile to your face in January. As with past months, we ask that you select the three Canadiens you feel are most deserving of the HW Stars honours.
