Scouting Report

Strengths: Has surprising speed and is a
solid skater. Possesses good offensive skills and has had the most success
while playing right-wing. Isn’t afraid to crash the net to score some
garbage goals.
Weaknesses: Will need to work on his defensive
game over the next few seasons. Needs to be a more consistent finisher.
Projected Role: Could become a NHL regular one day. Would need to improve his defensive game
because it remains to be seen if he has what it takes to be a top-6 forward.

Biography

Juraj Mikus is enjoying a strong season offensively in his first season in
North America. In 35 games with the QMJHL’s Chicoutimi Saguenéens, Mikus has
14 goals and 23 assists for 37 points on the season. He has also collected
38 PIM.

Meanwhile, Juraj Mikus played his last 3 seasons with the HK 36
Skalica in various levels of the Slovakian League. Mikus found most of his
success in the under-20 and under-18 levels, but struggled offensively at
the higher ranks due to less ice-time and stronger opposition.

Mikus will suit up for Team Slovakia at the 2007 U-20 World Junior
Championships.
