(HW) How they scored

1st Period

5:10     Jason Spezza 1 (power play) (Radek Bonk, Daniel Alfredsson)

Terrible Penalty Kill by Montreal (and a lack of coverage) leads to a nice goal by Spezza in front.

11:46    Ron Hainsey 1 (Joe Juneau, Andreas Dackell) *first career NHL goal

Hainsey jumps in from the point as a Habs powerplay expires and picks up his first NHL goal on the feed from Juneau.

17:42    Chris Neil 1 (Wade Redden, Shaun Van Allen)

Redden’s shot is tipped in front as Jose Theodore has little-to-no chance at making the stop.

19:54    Petr Schatslivy 1 (power play) (Karek Rachunek, Chris Phillips)

Another tipped shot from the point. This was the killer goal as the Habs never really recovered.

2nd Period

9:17     Chris Phillips 1 (Marian Hossa)

Bad defensive coverage leads to a Sens 2-on-1 and Phillips finishes off a nice pass from Hossa.

14:40    Mike Ribeiro 1 (Richard Zednik, Andrei Markov)

A nifty play by Zednik (sacrificing himself to get the puck to Ribeiro, who is left alone in front and dekes Lalime out completely.

17:05    Daniel Alfredsson 1 (Jason Spezza)

Again, bad defensive coverage by Montreal leads to a Sens goal as Alfredsson walks right in from the right half boards and pockets his first on the campaign.
