Depleted Habs Outclassed by Lightning

With most of the regular Laval lineup now in Montreal, what’s left of the Canadiens faced one of the league’s best in the Lightning. The result was therefore no surprise as Tampa Bay never really appeared threatened by the Habs as they breezed to a 4-0 victory

Fragile Habs Drop Another Lead to Rangers

At some point, the coaching staff might be required to play some different players in their attempt to defend leads. Regardless, it was another blown lead for the Habs who just can’t seem to figure it out as they allowed five unanswered to lose 5-2 to the Rangers on Thursday night.

Habs Blow Another Lead, Get Swept by Wings

Another night, another disheartening loss for the Habs. The Habs held the lead for much of the game, but their recent trend of blowing leads in the third period once again showed its ugly face as the Red Wings stormed back after being down 3-1 to beat the Habs 4-3 in regulation on Tuesday night.

Habs Keep Rolling With Win Against Ducks

As the virus infected Habs took on the much more physical Ducks, they knew they had to rely on speed to get the win on Thursday night. They ultimately relied on Nick Suzuki and Brenden Gallagher to spark the offense as they skated away with a 3-2 shootout victory setting the stage for a key game on Saturday against the Leafs.

Habs Exorcise Devils

It wasn’t pretty but the Habs managed a 5-4 come from behind victory over the Devils that required a shootout to get done. It was the type of game and effort (inconsistent) that perfectly displayed why the Habs are on the outside looking in as of now.

Habs Fall to Caps

Another night, another decent effort, another deception in the results column. The Habs played a decent game on Monday but the game seems to get away from them entirely on the mental side of things and this was no exception as they fell 4-2 to Washington.
