Vote for January’s 3 Stars!

January began on a positive note, with Brendan Gallagher returning from injury and the Montreal Canadiens emerging triumphant from the Winter Classic game. But that elation was short-lived; for the second straight month, the Habs could only muster up 3 wins, and they plummeted down the NHL Standings.

HW 3 Stars – December 2015

It was a tough month to bear for the Montreal Canadiens and their fans alike. Not only were two of their stars sidelined with injury, the healthy players weren’t able to muster much of a semblance of competency as they stumbled to a pathetic 3-11-0 record.

Vote For December’s 3 Stars!

In the previous two months, HabsWorld’s readers might have had difficulties picking the HW 3 Stars, since Montreal was getting significant contributions from almost everyone. With December’s horrendous record of 3-11-0, our readers may encounter similar difficulties, but for the opposite reason.

HW 3 Stars – November 2015

November marked the first month without the services of Carey Price (for the most part), and HabsWorld readers were forced to cast their votes elsewhere for the first time in a very long time. As a result, we have a new reigning champion; here are the 3 HW Stars for November 2015.

Vote For November’s 3 Stars!

Despite missing the NHL’s reigning MVP for the vast majority of the month, the Montreal Canadiens maintained their elite positioning atop the standings, going 8-2-3 in November. Much has been made about Montreal’s depth this season, and with key injuries surfacing, it has been unlikely candidates making significant contributions to November’s successes on various nights.

HW 3 Stars – October 2015

Given Montreal’s success in October, it should come as no surprise that there were no shortage of candidates when it came to voting for the HW 3 Stars. The Canadiens possess tremendous depth throughout the roster, and the votes paralleled this to a certain degree, as most of Montreal’s players earned at least a vote or two.

Vote For October’s 3 Stars!

The Habs had a month to remember in October, posting a 10-2-0 record. This impressive start contained a franchise record (9 wins to start the season) as well as an NHL record (9 regulation wins to start a season). Make your picks for who October’s top performers were.

HW 3 Stars – March 2015

With the Stanley Cup Playoffs just around the corner, it’s hard to be excited about what happened in March. Nevertheless, the Canadiens wouldn’t be where they were without the success that they had this last critical month, and some players certainly deserve recognition for their efforts.

Vote for March’s 3 Stars!

By going 6-6-3 in March, the Montreal Canadiens failed to reach at least 8 wins in a month for the first time in the 2014-15 season. Nevertheless, it wasn’t all doom and gloom as the Habs still managed to secure a playoff spot, and are still in the running for home-ice advantage for the Stanley Cup playoffs.

HW 3 Stars – February 2015

It’s fitting that this month’s edition of the HW 3 Stars is for February, a month that features Groundhog Day. In the movie “Groundhog Day”, Bill Murray plays a character that gets stuck in a time loop, and has to repeat the same day over and over. Thos
