By now, we’ve all wondered aloud as to why Carey Price has not yet re-signed with the Habs. Of course, there’s still plenty of time to do so (and I expect he will before camp) but that’s not the point of this piece.
This week’s trade that sent Cedrick Desjardins to Tampa Bay created quite a stir despite its insignificance in the grand scheme of things (one potential backup for another).
On Monday, the Habs made a minor move in goal, dealing Cedrick Desjardins to the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for the rights to Finnish goalie Karri Ramo.
Something is happening for only the second time in the Trevor Timmins era: Consecutive first round picks will be playing in the CHL thanks to Louis Leblanc and Jarred Tinordi walking away from their NCAA scholarships.
Despite the never ending discussion of when Carey Price will re-sign with the Habs, there is still plenty to talk about.
The Habs continued to add to their blueline depth on Saturday, as the team has come to terms with free agent Alexandre Picard on a 1 year, two-way contract.
Friday has once again turned out to be a busy day of small moves for the Habs. This afternoon, it was confirmed that Alex Henry signed a 2 year, two way contract to return as captain of Hamilton Bulldogs, as HW reported on Wednesday night.
Why hasn’t he signed yet? What is he waiting for? Is he holding out for a trade, does he even want to be a Hab?
