(2008-10-14 01:30 posted by Jonathan Rebelo) Carey Price (A) - Was awarded the games 3rd star and played a marvellous game, he would surely take back one or two of the goals that beat him but all Carey cares about are the W’s.
Patrice Brisebois (B)- Best game of the season so far, as I never really noticed him. He was even on the night and recorded 2 blocked shots.
Josh Gorges (A)- Fantastic game 3 hits and 1 blocked shots but he keeps the game so simple and helps the Habs transition game.
Ryan O’Byrne (B+) - He ended up a +2 and had two hits other than that I really did not notice him.
Roman Hamrlik (A+)- Fantastic game, a goal and an assist not to mention his usual flawless play in the defensive zone and five shots on goal.
Mike Komisarek (B-) It hard not give him an A but the bad turnover really cost him, other than that he did have a great night with 4 hits and 5 blocked shots.
Andrei Markov ( B+)- Two assists and wonderful work moving the puck forward all night only negative was him being on the ice for the Flyers first two goals.
Mathieu Dandenault ( B-) - +1 rating an 8 minutes of ice time, not really much more you can ask from him. I hope Chipchura gets his spot on the 4th line though. ZERO hits is not enough for a fourth liner.
Steve Begin (B+) - Scored a big empty net goal but was on the ice for one of the Flyers 2 power play goals. 3 hits, he is earning his spot but when will his body break down?
Maxim Lapierre (A) - Got in a fight, although not much of one with Steve Downie, was +50% in the face off circle and had 1 hit.
Tom Kostopoulos (C+)- 3 hits but he was running around more than the other two games and did little to help out his line mates.
Sergei Kostitsyn (A)- Did not do much until the 3rd period but his work in the final frame resulted in two big assists. How did he manage less ice time then Kostopoulos, Begin I don’t quite understand.
Robert Lang ( B) - Game winning goal and a "B" rating, I know but what else did he do? He was 38% in the circle and had just 2 shots.
Alex Tanguay (D) -Is he a game on game off player? Who knows but he was ineffective tonight to say the least and was the only Canadiens player to end up with a minus rating.
Guillaume Latendresse (B-)- Did what he could and was the best player on his line, 3 big hits and drove the net well. Gui also got in a scrap at the end of the game with Joffrey Lupul.
Saku Koivu ( C )- Not a good night for the Captain although he had an assist he was invisible otherwise.
Alex Kovalev (B)- Not the most inspired effort but he did hit the cross bar and was very dangerous at times. Had 2 BIG HITS an assist but in a game like that I would like to see more than 2 shots.
Andrei Kostitsyn (A+)- 2 hits, 2 points and 5 shots. He was the best player on the ice and was rightfully awarded the games 1st star.
Tomas Plekanec ( C ) -Zero on the score sheet and not much to show in terms of creativity or will to win. I expect much more from the top center.
