  • Alex Auld's career numbers show that he has a tendency to improve notably after the NHL's All-Star break. In 144 games before the break, he has a 2.90 GAA and a .901 SV%. In 63 games after? A 2.48 GAA and a .911 SV%. Interestingly enough, he has a winning record pre-break and a losing one post-break.

A tough energy player who plays physical and protects teammates. He will drop the gloves and has the size and speed to to be an effective checker.

Defensively he needs a lot of work often going out of position for a big hit. Offensively he is seriously undermanned to be more then a bottom line player.
