  • The Habs may not have the highest payroll in the league, but they are leading all teams in the number of $5 million or higher-paid players in the NHL. No fewer than 6 players (Gomez, Cammalleri, Markov, Hamrlik, Gionta, and Plekanec) make at least $5M. The Rangers are second with 5 players in that category.

 Scouting Report

Strengths:

Latendresse has impressive size, and strength to go along with very good offensive skills, work ethic and aggressive play. His physical play can create space and turnovers.

Weaknesses:

Doesn't always rise to the occasion, playing better when given less responsibility and pressure. Needs to perform with a physical edge more often. Skating and mobility still an issue, though it has improved every season with Montreal.

Projected Role:

Power forward, 2nd or 3rd line
