  • Alex Auld's career numbers show that he has a tendency to improve notably after the NHL's All-Star break. In 144 games before the break, he has a 2.90 GAA and a .901 SV%. In 63 games after? A 2.48 GAA and a .911 SV%. Interestingly enough, he has a winning record pre-break and a losing one post-break.

 Scouting Report

Strengths:

One of the top fighters in the NHL. Puck possession along the boards is superb. Is hard to remove from the front of the opponents net.

Weaknesses:

Poor skating and mobility have hindered his ability to bodycheck and be in position. Despite his toughness, he doesn't tend to goad players into fighting. For his role, he might be too nice about it.

Projected Role:

Enforcer, 4th line
