HabsWorld.net --

The Montreal Canadiens came up just short in their quest for the playoffs this season, but it’s hard to think of it as anything but a success. The team played hard all year and improved by 25 points over last year’s disappointing effort, finishing with 96 points.

Down the stretch, the Habs were able to make it interesting despite a very tough schedule. Carey Price was excellent and a number of players, including Andrew Shaw and Max Domi, capped off breakout seasons with strong play when the games mattered the most. Who were the most important difference makers in the Habs’ ill-fated playoff chase?
